Introduction

The Academic Center is a new structure and is another INSPEN contribution in the field of education to the country and the real estate industry in particular. As an organization that is directly involved with the real estate industry, JPPH is very sensitive to the developments and needs of the property industry. Hence, JPPH through its training institution, INSPEN, stepped forward to take full advantage of this vast experience by offering educational services.

It coincides with amendments to the Valuers, Appraisers and Property Agents Act, 1981 (Amendment 1999) which has expanded the scope of the function of the Director General of Valuation and Property Services to cover educational services. To implement this new scope, INSPEN has been registered with the Ministry of Education, under the Education Act 1996, as an educational institution.

This education program differs from other programs in INSPEN as it opens learning opportunities at the certificate level to Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) students. The establishment of this certificate level program has been made on the realization that employers in the property industry are understaffed at a partially professional level who have formal education and complete with basic knowledge.

Welcome Word

Assalamualaikum wbt and Salam Sejahtera,

Welcome to the Academic Center Website.

INSPEN consists of Training Centers, Research Centers and Education Centers in real estate as well as conducting professional programs such as symposiums, conferences and short-term and long-term courses.

Starting August 21, 2003, the INSPEN function is expanded as an Educational Institution that implements the Real Estate Assessment Certificate (SPHT) program. INSPEN's success in real estate education continued with the addition of two more programs namely Certificate in Property Management (SPGT) in September 2008 and Land Property Agency Certificate (CEA) in 2011.

SPHT and SPGT certificates are recognized by Public Institutions of Higher Learning (IPTA) such as Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). The Academic Center and Top Management of INSPEN are working hard to ensure that both programs are fully accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) to enhance the confidence of graduates of the INSPEN program.

In addition, SPHT and SPSP INSPEN graduates are also recognized by the Public Service Department (PSD) where this approval is equivalent to the Certificate from the Ministry of Higher Education Polytechnic for the purpose of appointing an appropriate position in the Malaysian Public Service.

INSPEN's graduates' prospects include continuing higher education at both public and private universities, both locally and internationally. Two (2) Australian universities, Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane and University of Western Sydney (UWS) receive the Certificate of Property Assessment (SPHT) and INSPEN Property Management Certificate (SPGT) Bachelor, which is the result of intellectual co-operation with INSPEN.

The number of students enrolled in the program offered at INSPEN Academic Center is increasing every year. Therefore, the Academic Center continues to be committed to the pursuit of excellence in knowledge and personality.

Hopefully the INSPEN Academic Center will continue to be an option as a platform for excellence in real estate knowledge.
