The National Assessment Institute (INSPEN) was established in 1985. The three main thrusts of INSPEN under the supervision of Head of Development, Research and Expertise are the Professional Development Center, the Center for Research and Innovation and the Academic Center.
The Professional Development Center, which was originally known as the Training Center, was created in tandem with the establishment of INSPEN which serves to provide training programs specifically to the Valuers and Property Services Department (JPPH) and to the property industry at the national and international levels.
The Center for Research and Innovation which was also created in line with the establishment of INSPEN, originally functioned only for carrying out research activities for the internal use of the department as well as the national level and property information was extended its scope to product consultancy and development in 2000 and distribution of property research funds in under NAPREC in 2002.
The Academic Center or the Education Center was originally established in September 2004 to accommodate the development of educational functions. Currently, there are three programs run by the Academic Center namely Property Assessment Certificate (SPHT), Certificate of Property Management (SPGT) and Certificate of Property Agency (CEA).
It is hoped that INSPEN will continue to excel in line with INSPEN's vision of becoming the premier field of training, research and education.
